It is perfectly normal to need something that is not quite translation/tutoring, or more than that :) Just to give some examples, I once helped align segments of a classical Chinese text with the corresponding segments in its 17th-century French translation; I helped put two sets of 18th-century exported Chinese screen panels into order based on the inscriptions on them; I also helped extract and translate iconographically significant terms from paintings... If you are having trouble with any projects that involve classical Chinese material, please don't hesitate to contact me and tell me about your project. I'm most happy to help you solve the puzzle!
